It All Started With the First Time

Everything started on that fateful day when I had my first dose of vanilla ice cream. I immediately went head over heels with the flavor. I found it to be intriguing. Then came the vanilla cake, vanilla wafer and all sorts of delicacies that were enhanced by the magical additive. They proved that vanilla was "The One" for me. It was plain yet addictive. It was ubiquitous although it had a distinct flavor.
I even found vanilla’s scent to be captivating. It smelled like luscious little drops from heaven. When I got the chance to smell Body Shop’s Vanilla Eau de Toilette (and all other products ranging from bubble baths to body lotions), I likewise fell in love with it on the spot. It was like "love at first smell". It emanated the fragrance of a sweet potion that made me want to snag a whiff of it. Victoria’s Secret’s Vanilla Lace also gave my olfactory nerves the whim-whams.
Of all the flavors of the frappuccinos around town, vanilla still stood out for me. I once in a while gave the other flavors a try but I still went back to the tried and tested taste. Vanilla also added an oomph to the typical flavor of cola in Vanilla Coke.
Yes, I’m obsessed with vanilla. I can’t get enough of it. Maybe I should name my future child Vanilla. *snickers*

It seems like there’s more to vanilla than just being a flavor and aroma enhancer. If you want to get a lowdown on more vanilla facts, check out http://www.vanilla.com.
