Racing Thoughts

I utterly can’t wait for this week’s episode of The Amazing Race. I wonder who will be eliminated next. I really, really want it to be the Paolo family. Truly amazingly, they’ve managed to survive all the first three legs of the race. I must quote their elder son on this – “Unbelievable!”. I’ve had enough of the bickering and the outbursts of “Shut up!” and the likes as well as the infamous “Unbelievable!”. Well, one friend of mine will surely contest me on this for he believes that such people make the show interesting. Yeah, I agree with him on that aspect but I guess a family that reflects love, unity and most importantly, respect, deserves to win the race.
I felt bad for the Aiello family when they were eliminated. They really screwed up on the mud race. It took them 14 freaking times to conquer the mud demons. They should have imitated the Weaver family to save some precious time. Brawn alone was truly not the winning factor for this game. The Gaghan family overtook the Aiello family for the second time around and it really hurt the latter’s pride. Good for the former since their kids were light so weight was not much of a problem for them.
Tony Aiello had a funny look on his face when one of his sons-in-law got the last number for that rotating capsule. I reckon there was not much excitement anymore on that part since it was already sort of obvious who would succeed. There was not much room for a twist. Who had their turn for the rotating capsule first would quite as well make it to the pit stop first. Nevertheless, the remaining smidgens of the show would surely still have a lot of gargantuan twists. Who knows? The Bransen family who ended up in the first place last week and bagged a whopping lifetime supply of gasoline (I sooo envy them) might end up losing this week.
I asked my friends whom they would choose from our group to be teammates if they would have the chance to join the Amazing Race. Well, it turned out that nobody chose me. Hah! So much for asking.
